I got the idea to create a home decor series while researching how to decorate my own home. In the past, I never invested much in quality home furnishings, and as a result I have gone through about four $500 couches when I could have just bought one $2000 couch that I would still have to this day. Thus this list will have a mix of pricier as well as less expensive items.
In this series I’ll be picking home decor ideas based on a specific theme, usually a color. Maybe my quest for home decor ideas will inspire your home.
The color palette I’m most interested in this week:
Bedroom Decor
This beautiful yellow and sage green bedspread from Etsy.
Here are some room accents: the cutest amber striped planter from Jungalow, and this green accent lamp from Rejuvenation.
Living Room Decor Ideas
When choosing a couch under this color scheme, you could go two ways: a tan or muted orange couch, or a moss/sage green couch. I chose a tan leather three-seater sofa from Article, one of my favorite home furnishing companies, as well as a cloth three-piece sectional from Burrow.
For accent pieces, I chose the Cruiser Deluxe Turntable from Crosley and a funky orange patterned accent pillow from Jungalow.
Bathroom Decor
This Papaya-patterned Urban Outfitters shower curtain paired with a beautiful yellow and green woven bath rug as well as some orange towels I found on Target.
Kitchen Decor
I love beautiful practical items, like this non-stick ceramic pan set and tea kettle from Crate and Barrel.
Home Office Decor
I like the thought of using sage, yellow, and orange as accent colors but keeping the furniture neutral. Therefore, I paired this sage office chair from Article and Lampe Mesteren mini table lamp with a simple mid-century desk from West Elm.
